The Washington Way
Punctual Pug has the best and smartest friends and partners. During Aaron's presentation yesterday, I learned some things. The national average percentage of people participating in integrated employment (as of 2023) is 22%. However, in Washington, it is 83%!! (And our other friends in Oregon are right behind them at number two in the nation with around 60%!) The Pacific Northwest just brings joy all around.
I also learned that CEA had a ten percent improvement of candy bar distribution on Advocacy Day. More candy is always better. Crunch Bars played a role in helping them weather the stormy legislative session (other states were tossed around in the waters, too, but none of them used candy to quell the waves).
I also got to help our friend from Microsoft when their PC had sound trouble so I morphed into IT mode and got them sorted...using a Mac. I'll just leave that there.
I'm presenting on Punctual Pug this morning and kicking up some dust. We're fortunate to have partners like Community Employment Alliance...and hopefully some others will come along as we release the pugs into the forests.
Also: Grunge was the right answer...
Hugs and Pugs,
Allison
